Why All Climate Air Inc. is the Right Contractor.

We all know what it feels like when we don’t have a comfortable home--sleepless nights from high summer temperatures or shivering in the cold during the winters. But who do you call? Many of the cheapest, low bid companies will eventually cost you the most time, frustration, and money. We encourage you to do your homework on All Climate Air and all your other HVAC options.

1. Ask for references:
Current customers are a great source of information and are often willing to share their experience.

2. Get a detail written proposal:
Beware of the cheep offer, low bid that does not back-up their quote with a detailed written proposal. If its not written down its probably not included in your quote. A detailed proposal is one sign of a quality company.

3. Follow contract law:
A new comfort system is a big decision. According to California law, all home improvement contracts include a 3-day right to cancel. The contractors that do not provide a 3-day right to cancel are not following CA contact law.

4. How long has the company been in business:
History with proven experience is the best. Your want to invest with a company that has a proven history that will be around to further assist you when your new air conditioner needs service or if you have warranty repairs. In the HVAC industry most new companies last less than 2 years, using them is a gamble.

5. Make sure they have an office:
Have you seen the company’s place of business. Do they have an actual physical address or do they just use a truck, phone and P. O. Box address to communicate.

6. Check their credentials:
Like Google ratings and reviews or call the Better Business Bureau, check out the companies history of complaints and resolutions to make sure the company is willing to solve any customer issues and is reputable.

7. Equipment labor and parts warrantees and guarantees:
Warranties and guarantees will vary from company to company and manufacturer to manufacturer. Remember you are investing a considerable amount of money in a new air conditioner, all the specifics of the warranties/guarantees of your air conditioner should be spelled out on your written quote.

8. Sales Employee licensing:
Are the sales representatives listed on the contractor’s license and approved for in home sales as required by California law.

9. Trusted Employees:
Does the company do an extensive background check and a drug screen on all the employees they are sending out going into your home working around you and your family.

10. Ask for proof of insurance and local licenses:
Ask to see if their liability or workers compensation insurance coverage is up to date in case of an accident or someone get hurt working on your property. Do they have a local city business license.

11. Do they include the required city permits:
Homeowners upgrading their air conditioning system need to make sure their contractor is following state and city law by including the required building permit for the work being done. A building permit will generate routine inspection to assure that the system was installed properly. Many companies bypass the permit in their quote.

All Climate Air has seen the consequences of homeowners choosing the wrong HVAC contractor.

All Climate Air Inc. and our team has helped out hundreds of homeowners over the years with bad service, mis-diagnosed air conditioning repairs, airflow and comfort issues, poorly installed hvac equipment and processing warranty claims. Many the installing companies went out of business or just didn’t respond to their calls. By picking the right HVAC company you can avoid many of these common problems:

  • Frequent system breakdowns
  • Poor or improper installation
  • Permit issues when selling home
  • Unsafe or inefficient operation
  • Lack of timely response, poor service after HVAC was installed
  • Unusually high energy bills
  • Shortened parts & equipment life
  • Air flow issues / Comfort issues
  • Many rooms not comfortable
  • Factory warranties being voided
  • Company went out of business

All Climate Air Inc. is fully licensed and insured, but don’t assume all companies are.

Many customers forget to ask two crucial questions when getting a quote from an HVAC contractor: Do you have insurance and is your license up to date? Can I verify them? Having both liability and workers’ compensation insurance is essential to protect homeowners in case of accidents or injuries while work is being done on their property. When selecting an HVAC contractor, it’s vital to confirm that the company doing the work holds a valid state license and proper insurance. Be cautious of companies offering low bids, as they may be operating without these necessary protections. Always verify for your safety.

Why Homeowners Should Request Proof of Insurance and Licensing

  • Consumers have lost millions of dollars in personal assets when uninsured companies make mistakes.
  • Each year, homeowners face lawsuits against their insurance
policies because contractors fail to hold the necessary worker’s compensations insurance for their employees. If a contractor you hire doesn't have workers' compensation insurance and someone is injured while working on your property, you could be held liable. Protect yourself by ensuring your contractor has the required coverage.
  • State licensing ensures technical competency in the HVAC industry. If a contractor cannot produce a license, they should not work on your home.

All Climate Air Inc. carries the proper licensing and insurance for your protection. We are always happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.
